3 crores for X5, where do they get such figures fromtamzeed GTI VR6 wrote:In today's Daily Star (22nd Feb)
BNP ex-MP lawmaker Abdul Wadud Bhiuyan' BMW X5 was seized from the garage of his close aide in Khagrachari. The price of the car is quoted as 3 crores (I doubt it). The former lawmaker imported the car defying rules and regulations in October 2006.

reporters have more imagination than Spielberg or Lucas. Anyway I have been saying about this for awhile that how a lot of BMW's are not registered. So those unregistered ones are not on the roads . Secondly a big group of people are scaring the legit owners that they will be harassed without so they are trying to avoid any situation like that and third GTI already said they are either in hiding or in Jail. Majority of the MP permit duty free suv's are also missing in action. Mostly because of the legitimacy of the purchase process for the vehicles. Interesting about the X5 that the owner is an MP so don't you think he would import it under his own MP PASS, so that makes it a duty free vehicle. So actually he did not evade any taxes he just didn need to pay for it. But who knows the real story. I am just sorry that the local police may have already spoiled the car, last time I heard they cant take the KEY out of the car.

that's true. specially in bangladesh it's such a bad practice of them to build castles in the sky. i donno u guys ever noticed it or not... if anyone owns a SUV... they've been calling that one a PAJERO for ages;doesn't matter what that one exactly is. and basically these blokes write without doing any homework and that's what i believe.snkpkp wrote:reporters have more imagination than Spielberg or Lucas.
i was thinking the same. being a member of the parliament he can legally import his vehicle without paying off the duty.snkpkp wrote:Interesting about the X5 that the owner is an MP so don't you think he would import it under his own MP PASS, so that makes it a duty free vehicle.
