Why is this decision??? what will happen to the classic cars of Bangladesh

I think it is more like 20 years.......My dad told me that he saw this on the news, and the news mentioned abt cars which are 20 years old.

This is a bad news though.....the classic car scene in BD will be gone for good. :?

If it '20 years' then i am done.... my corolla is already 22 years old!! my 300SE is 40 years.
I sipmly don't get it. There is no way that cars like that age is surviveing are in bad shape. This cars are way better then many govt. owned cars like "Bangladesh Biman" or "Bangladesh Police" s cars. So why this banning? Most of this old cars have new engines, so there is no way they couse much pollution.

sakin, don't worry. i think this has to do with all the old buses and trucks running on our streets that are really polluting the air. if your car can pass a fitness test then there's no reason for it to be banned from the roads.
