Shown here in nearly production ready form, the Vision R presages the R-class coming to the U.S. It's Mercedes-Benz's version of the Chrysler Pacifica and it will be the larger of two sport touring models; the smaller one will be the B-class. Expect the production car's interior to look a lot like this, and features like versatile 6-passenger seating and all-wheel drive will carry over. M-B's excellent new 3.5-liter V-6 likely will be the initial engine offered in the R-class when it makes its way stateside.

yeah, they look kinda the same.......moreover both of them have the same color in those pics, thats why they look even more similar. but if u take a look carefully, u'll see the difference in the head and tail lights.......and also the B class looks like a 4 door hatchback.......whereas the R Class is a wagon. and the R Class looks bigger than B Class

i might not have much market knowledge but what clientelle are they looking for, if both the models are soo similar then wont one tap the others market and vice versa? say if you have the toyota camry and the toyota mark x, then they are both attracting the same clients right. why want internal fights amongst its models.

well, i think its the difference in class.......i mean the R class is prolly in the same league as E class........whereas B class is more in the league of the C Class. the R looks bigger than the B........just like the E is bigger than C......and more prestigous as well.

btw, I don't think the Mark X is in the same league as Camry.......It's prolly an upper level car regarding it looks bigger, better, more luxurious and has more power than the camry......I think the Mark X is more like the Avalon. that is, Mark X is like the Avalon of Asia......(They don't have Avalons in Asia.....right? or do they?)
