BMW only makes naturally aspirated engines, so no supercharging or turbocharging, that makes them different from Mercedes/Porsche

no turbocharging in BMW's eh? read this:
The new generation of BMW diesel engines have changed expectations of diesel motoring forever. These are the world's first 6-cylinder common-rail diesel engines, featuring high-pressure injection and variable vanes in the turbocharger for increased torque at low engine speeds. Delivering a quite remarkable torque figure of 500Nm at only 2000rpm, the new 3.0 litre diesel accelerates the X5 3.0d from 0-62 mph in 8.3 seconds.
anyways..this is the engine stat for the new m5:

BMW M5 is powered by a normally aspirated five-litre V10 engine - a first for BMW. Redlined at 8,250rpm, the 507bhp and 520Nm of torque propels the car from zero to 62mph in 4.7seconds and to 124mph in 15 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. Without the limiter, the new M5 would be capable of an awe-inspiring 205mph

yup but in diesel you always need turbocharging, a diesel engine is not naturaly aspirated. i meant for the petrol main stream engines bmw does not have a policy to use superchargers/turbochargers
